Watching
yellow leaves fall
in a late summer wind,
my small son looked at the trees and

Thank you so much for the shout out 🙂 I loved this – little boys and fall – a good combination any time!

I think I'm feeling like your son these days: it's been a cool summer around here; hard to appreciate crisp autumn mornings coming without having first had the hazy sweet heat of summer.

Thanks for coming by — good luck with that cake recipe. And best wishes for a happy birthday to your daughter!
