What you do before you friend someone

I opened the bathroom door and a squeal erupted from inside.

“I’m deodoring!” my son said.

Oops.

Recently, I challenged myself to record each day with a photo and an observation, much like what happens at habit: a collection of days. Some of the pictures and writing I’ve used here, others I only posted on my Flickr account, Dance in the Kitchen. You can find them here, if you’re curious.

    This made me laugh.

Your pictures are wonderful, and I appreciated the link to flickr. I also like the way you respond to your photos (and occasionally curious words) in your posts. Seems like a lovely way to write.

Words have lately been hard for me; one reason I stopped posting a several years ago. Just recently picked up the camera, though, and I like the sense of attention it has restored. Am not finding it easy to mix with words, though; not yet.

  4. Thank you a million times over.

Anno, thank you. You're right that sometimes the words come so slowly. Often a picture focuses my own thoughts, making the words flow faster, smoother. I've been enjoying your pictures and in particular your writing.

Caroline, your welcome. I'm wishing you lots of luck.

Denise, my son Max deserves all the credit for this one.
